Lere's Shoeshine Experience web site

Shoeshine is a dynamic BEE company that offers shoeshining services at South African international airports. The brief was to design a site that was original, fresh, funky and distinctly South African. Each shoeshining kiosk has an internet browser for the customer to surf the internet while paying for the shoeshine service, with the shoeshine.co.za page being the browser page. The company was funded by the Umsobomvu Youth Fund, which initially funded any supplier to Shoeshine, but later changed policy and only allowed Umsobomvu registered companies to be funded. I then unhappily passed on the template to Shoeshine's new service provider, Maxxor Business Solutions. I had no control over how the design was interpreted after that hand-over, and subsequently the design was not utilised to its full potential.
