Planning for the party is going well...
Checked
out the venue yesterday and it ROCKS : 1950's cinema, burnt
down, then resurrected into being a forge/blacksmith/hiring venue
place...
the artists from the US 'burning man ' art collective are in there at the moment (renting the space) and building their burning metal sculptures for the 'afrika burns
' thing they are doing over this weekend... they are leaving on the
29th, so are coming to the party as a farewell gift to themselves! The
sculpture by Charlie was looking HOT (no pun intended).
Jason and I did a talk about suspensions to the
collarme crowd last night... Jason was going to pierce
me to demonstrate how and where hooks would be placed, then hang a
rig off of them to give the audience an idea of how it works. One of
the people who worked at the venue (who had just finished her shift)
had joined out of curiosity, and when Jason jokingly asked for
volunteers - she jumped up! So we put three hooks in and hung a rig off
of them. Seems she is coming out of her closet...
Also met Jack and Hilla last night to plan the rope suspension part of
the performance - looks like it is gonna be rad! Sean and I are going
to be tied at either front side of the stage, Annie suspended centre
(still trying to perfect the logistics of rigging a cable over the
stage so she can swing out over the crowd), and me elevated at the
back (doing full leg scarifications and pierced into a spiderwebbed
rope design)
Sure it will be awesome!

had an awesome weekend with our friend Saskia... celebrating her med study (plastic surgery) exam success.
went
away to a holiday house in Rooiels (beautiful, beautiful, tiny village
on the southern cape coast) - the weather was unsuitably ferocious (we
went on the bike) but it was an interesting Experience. lol. hooked in
behind a lunatic in an Audi A4 along the coast road in total darkness,
howling wind and blinding rain, doing a constant 100kmh. think he knew
the road exceptionally well! sheer 100m drops on one side, sheer cliff
face on the other. opposite camber and 90degree turns, with baboons
running across the road.
then got totally wasted - we met at a (unbeknowst to us) biker bar and
got free drinks on arrival for being 'brave' bikers, and then got
rounds of ten shots for R10... something like $2 to you americans...
thanks to Saskia for an exceptionally entertaining evening, and congratulations on her exams!
didn't have a camera with us, so got someone else to take some pics...

did an impromptu play piercing session the other night.
dj badballgown? or bangbangballerina?.... something like that - our
friend sean. the pics make it all look like it is haphazard and
strange, but only because it was done in near darkness while he was
playing his live mix/set... (thanks to iam:jacktar and his lady for
most of the pics)
have some more suspensions coming up soon, and some business
expansions. see you again soon.

Got
three hours booked to work on my sleeve this afternoon, stretched my
lobes up to 20mm last night - no pain at all, chaos softwear rocks!
Stuart taking his bike to be serviced this afternoon - R4000!!! that seriously
sucks.
